Concerns of the First Responder

First responders go through stressful situations at a level the general population does not understand or experience. In this training, we will discuss these stressors as well as ways to mitigate the harmful effects of the stress associated with these professions to help keep our people healthy and resilient.

• We’ll discuss hyper-vigilance and its effect on the body

• We will discuss substance abuse issues as well as treatment considerations

• We will discuss suicide awareness and intervention

• We will consider spiritual aspects associated with the performance our jobs

• We will answer questions concerning any aspects of Peer Support
