Why is it useful to study your transaction history?

I didn't previously pay much attention to my cryptocurrency transaction history until I needed to find information about an old transfer. It turned out that without the date, amount, or identifier, it can be difficult to recall the details. Could you please advise whether it's a good idea to regularly review the history and ensure all transactions are displayed correctly? I'm particularly interested in what information is best to save if I plan to make several transfers within a month.

It's useful to review your transaction history periodically, especially if you're using cryptocurrency for several different transactions. You can check the date, amount, selected coin, network, status, and identifier for a specific transfer in the list. This helps you spot an unfamiliar transaction, verify that the payment was processed correctly, or quickly find the transaction you need when contacting support. For your own records, you can also save identifiers and dates in a secure note. However, you shouldn't write down passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases next to this history, as these details have completely different security implications. If a transaction with an unusual status appears in your history, it's best to first check its identifier in a blockchain explorer. Regularly checking takes a little time, but it helps you better understand your fund flow and maintain order in your account's financial history.
