About LEARS™

The Law Enforcement Agency Reputation Score™ (LEARS) was developed by Dr. Olivia Johnson as an assessment tool to address challenges regarding agency reputation, risk reduction, vulnerabilities that can adversely affect agency reputation, employee performance, professional development, and community relations.


There is a direct correlation between early intervention and professionalism as a risk factor tied to high-risk behavior and suicide. Dr. Johnson has developed 10 predictive risk factors (The Fatal 10), which, if leveraged and understood as early warning signs, can reduce suicide among first responder groups, increase overall health and wellness, and promote the development of professional law enforcement officers and agency brands.

LEARS™ addresses five main points:
